Big Changes to the BOYSLUT Substack Coming 2025

I’m now accepting fiction erotica!

Some big changes are happening to this Substack starting in 2025.

Let’s start with the positive:

I’m expanding to include fiction erotica!

Since the inception of the Substack in May 2021, I have only written or accepted pieces of non-fiction erotica—real sex stories that happened to you or me. I felt like that separated me from other erotica sites, and since I had a surplus of exciting sexual stories, I ran with it.

Alas, I now feel like I’m in a place where I have to have sex to write about it, and that takes the joy out of having sex and writing. (Not to mention, it feels less genuine.) I want to be having sex because I’m a Boyslut who loves experiencing pleasure with various people—not because I need something to write about. Being able to write fiction (alongside non-fiction) allows me to keep putting out content consistently without any pressure.

Additionally, this will REALLY allow for a diversity of content (and style of writing). Get ready for frat initiations, unethical doctors, grotesque monsters, and voluptuous aliens.

Regarding fiction submissions:

I’m pretty much open to anything, but I want it to be creative. I want it to be different. I don’t want it to read like a non-fiction piece. Nonetheless, every character in the story needs to be above 18. Content with animals, beasts, or fantastical creatures is a gray area. I plan to have an entire nautical series about the marines and pirates. There will definitely be a scene involving a giant squid. I’m okay with that, but if you wrote a piece about fucking a horse, I’d reject it on the premise.

Non-consensual content is again ambiguous. Many of us have non-consensual fantasies, and I want to explore them. There is a way to write about it that is hot and arousing and a way that feels cruel. I will only be accepting the former.

Length is again in the 1,200-2,500 range, though if a piece is fabulous and 3,500 words, I’ll still publish it. It just can’t be a piece where I have to do heavy editing because that would literally take me forever. Of course, I’m still accepting non-fiction erotica, and you can view those submission guidelines here!

Regarding payment:

This is where the less ideal news comes in. Starting in 2025, I will pay $100 (instead of $250) for all accepted pieces. For the first two years of having paid subscribers for content, I saw a steady increase, which allowed me to steadily increase how much I pay authors. Over the past year, I have seen a steady decrease in paid subscribers, losing a fair number. I’ve done everything in my power to keep paid subscribers up, sharing on social media, getting more diverse content from new authors, and paying queer artists for illustrations, but nothing has seemed to help. Maybe it’s the economy? Something else? Hopefully, come 2026, this number will return to $250. But for the entirety of 2025, it’ll remain at $100 (as I also have to pay illustrators).

Luckily, payment will continue to be fast. Once I accept your final round of edits, I’ll pay via PayPal or Venmo within a few days.
