Online Bisexuality x Non-Monogamy Workshop on Nov 10!
Leanne Yau (@polyphiliablog) and I will give concrete advice and share personal stories in this 90-minute workshop, which includes an audience Q&A.
I know that many of us are still spiraling after the election results. I know I am. I’m trying to find the balance between allowing myself to grieve and continuing with my life, a balance that feels impossible.
With that said, I want to share that I’m co-hosting a bisexuality and non-monogamy workshop this Sunday, November 10, with Leanne (@polyphiliablog). This course is online and open to everyone.
If you’re interested in learning more about the intersection of bisexuality and non-monogamy, struggling with aspects of either, or simply looking to expand your knowledge, this online workshop is for you.
We’ll be covering a range of topics including:
Being Bisexual and Non-Monogamous
What does it mean to be a non-monogamous bisexual person? What are some misconceptions about either and both groups (e.g., the "slutty bisexual"), where do they come from, and how does that influence the bisexual non-monogamous experience?
Battling Biphobia in Non-Monogamy
We cover three big issues that those who are both non-monogamous and bisexual face: fetishization (especially in swinger spaces), unicorn hunting, and the One Penis/Pussy Policy. We unpack why these are harmful and invalidating to bisexuals, how to combat them, and also other examples of biphobia in relationships.
Embracing Joyful Bisexual Non-Monogamy
In what ways can non-monogamy be affirming for bisexuality? What positive experiences have we had specifically as non-monogamous bisexuals? What tips do we have for partners of bisexual non-monogamous people?
What is the relationship between bisexuality and non-monogamy? What should bisexual non-monogamous people look out for to empower themselves in sex and relationships? How does biphobia show up in non-monogamous spaces, and what can we do to combat this?
