This week: #BiWeek, nature, and #BadassBisexual(s)
We didn’t have a daisy chain last week. We did, however, do DV (Double Vaginal [Penetration]). I figure that still counts as unnecessarily graphic bisexual visibility.
Alright, as you know, I’m currently in New Hampshire and Maine for the week with my throuple and two (additional) friends. I really want to get to #BiWeek content, so to save time, I will show some pictures of my trip thus far. (Currently writing this on Friday night.) Pretend we’re sitting on your couch in the living room, and I’m showing you these pictures while clicking through a slide projector.
Some trail in the White Mountains, New Hampshire.
From atop the Bubble Mountain at Jordan’s Pond in Arcadia National Park. Clock the sunscreen in my beard.
Trees.
More nature and shit.
In a cabin somewhere in New Hampshire.
Thank you for indulging me and sating my vanity. With that out of the way, let’s move onto #BiWeek!
I know I’m beginning to sound like a broken record, but I can’t tell you how monumental it is that Men’s Health is participating in #BiWeek. To my knowledge, it’s the only men’s magazine doing this. I hope it will have a significant impact on curious, closeted, confused, and recently out bi men who might not feel comfortable going to queer-specific publications like OUT.
Instead of explaining my MH’s kickoff piece to #BiWeek, I would rather you go ahead and read it.
Bisexual Men Exist, and It's Time for Our Moment
I did a bi-specific Sexplain It this week, where I answer a question from a bisexual man. He’s wondering whether it’s “weird or problematic” to subscribe to his gym crush’s OnlyFans without his wife knowing.
Sexplain It: I Want to Subscribe to My Gym Crush's OnlyFans. Problem Is, I'm Married.
I also worked with Vaneet Mehta on an “as told to” where he discusses his coming out experience and why he created the #BisexualMenExist hashtag. Vaneet and I have been interacting on Twitter for probably two years now. He’s an incredible bi activist who works tirelessly to combat biphobia, so it was truly an honor to speak with him.
When I Came Out as Bi, I Felt So Alone. Twitter Saved My Life.
Last but not least, I’m trying to get my OWN hashtag trending for #BiWeek: #BadassBisexual. Here was my original tweet!
(WOW… realizing just now I wrote “retreat” and not “retweet…”)
Some of them so far:
If you’re bi and on Twitter, post a pic of your bi self being badass and use the hashtag! Bisexual is still PUNK. Okay?! Let’s make it clear that we’re fucking awesome.
The rest of my #BiWeek content to come next week!
